Morgan “Rhoulette” Romine to Lead Firefall into E-sports Arena

Laguna Hills, CA – September 20, 2011– Red 5 Studios™ announces new hire, Morgan “Rhoulette” Romine, to spearhead their e-sports division. As Red 5 gears up to launch the highly anticipated free-to-play, team-based shooter Firefall™ later this year, it rounds out its powerhouse team with the Frag Doll Founder, and one of the game industry’s ‘Top 100 Most Influential Women,’ according to www.next-gen.biz.

Romine, better known as “Rhoulette” in video game communities, helped found and build Ubisoft’s all-girl professional gaming team. As Manager and Team Captain, she served as a primary spokesperson for the Frag Dolls and has used that role to become a visible advocate for women in the video game industry. Her involvement in professional gaming has given her an unparalleled insight into the culture of competitive video gaming and the values of its communities.

Firefall has entered the first round of Closed Beta, with 500 invitations going out to lucky testers around the world!

What is that? You haven't heard of Firefall? Well let's give you some background.

Firefall is the debut title from Red 5 Studios who, according to Wikipedia "is a computer game company currently most known for their high ratio of former employees of Blizzard Entertainment."

The game combines some of the greatest aspects from [readmore] a number of genres, including Co-op FPS, MMORPGs, and eSports, creating an extremely well rounded game that should appeal to a large number of action hungry gamers. Of course, we only care about Firefall as an eSport, and after playing the game at PAX Prime and interviewing Scott Youngblood (Lead Designer - interview to be posted shortly), we are confident that this title will be a home run with eSport enthusiasts.
